Nor-Alta’s scope:
- Completed desktop review and field scouting for suitable landspray-while-drilling spreadfield locations.
- Signed land use contract agreements with landowners for landspray-while-drilling operations
- Orientated vacuum truck operators for landspray-while-drilling requirements
- Orientated water trucks to source water location
- Conducted site reconnaissance for remote sump locations
- Conducted Directive 050 remote sump suitability assessments and confirmed depths to groundwater
- Coordinated construction and design of sump sites including installation of geotextile sump liners when required
- Conducted entry and exit pit suitability assessments at each HDD location
- Tracked drilling mud additives and ensured all products were used below toxicity pass thresholds
- Obtained class II landfill samples and landfill approvals for disposal of separated solids
- Conducted water quality (turbidity) monitoring throughout duration of the project
- Completed routine terrestrial frac-out monitoring, throughout duration of the project, including completion of Emergency Release Reporting, as required
- Conducted drilling waste sampling assessments to determine acceptable Directive 050 disposal types including: Mix-Bury-Cover, Landspreading, Landspray-While-Drilling, and Landfill disposals
- Coordinated and supervised hydro-vac, vacuum trucks, dump trucks, excavators and dozers for drilling waste storage and disposal operations
- Completed drilling waste disposal reports for all drilling waste management methods of use
- Completed Alberta Energy Regulator Digital Data Submissions (DDS) for all drilling waste disposal events
